My youngest daughter has taken quite a liking to my son's friends. She has several little crushes on these "older" boys. One of the boys, Davis, recently sang in a school choir concert. The baby was enamored. Her sister, who is eight, helped her to compose a poem to Davis; perfect fodder for homecoming dates. We will, without a doubt, mortify our children during their teenage years.

Happy Love Thursday
Over from Shutter Sisters but wanted to say I LOVE your blog design!
That is the cutest thing EVER!
oh my goodness....
my daughter just follows her older brother's friends around and does annoying things to them. this is cute.
That is adorable! Definitely save this because what will humiliate her at Homecoming will become a treasure as she gets older. Wonderful.
Georgia is writing angsty love songs and fan letters to the Jonas Bros. It would be shattering to me if I didn't remember the lust I had for Paul McCartney when I was in second grade.
Life is the eternal yearn!
Oh this is sweet beyond compare.
Is this her first crush, do you think? If so, she will never forget it.
Awwwwwww!
Truly fodder for future embarrassment.
hahaha! I have a note that I made my daughter sign when she was about 11 years old "I will not get a tattoo" as she was threatening to get one. She is 26 now and a school teacher; so this note provides us with a lot of chuckles.
Wonderful! I heard a great talk by the author of From Diapers to Dating, Raising a Sexually Healthy Child (great book). She said never to poke fun of puppy love. It is real. And then asked the audience of 200 (mostly) women how many times that day we had written our husband/ partner's name on a napkin. It was eye-opening.
