About Me

“If you are a dreamer, come in. If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar, a hoper, a prayer, a magic-bean-buyer. If you're a pretender, come sit by my fire, for we have some flax-golden tales to spin. Come in! Come in!”
~ Shel Silverstein

Who am I?  Now that is a good question. I am a writer, photographer, crafter, sewer and knitter.  I am a mother to three amazing children and a wife to a brewer.  I am a veterinarian.  Occasionally I am a runner, swimmer and biker.  I am a bagpiper. I am a bee keeper and chicken herder. I am frugal and as Mr. Peculiar puts it a "Pioneer Jane".   And I am a dreamer, a wisher, a liar, a hoper, a prayer and a magic-bean-buyer.  All this and more.

Welcome to my little cyber place!  The floors are paper bags.  There's a cozy fireplace against the back wall.  The fire crackles and pops, hisses and spits; at least in my imagination. In reality it turns on with the flick of a switch.  My reading chair sits in the corner next to the fire.  On the ottoman is a library book, my reading glasses and some knitting.  The ball of yarn has slipped off the side and rolled across the floor.  My cat eyes it suspiciously but knows that if he does pounce this will be an invitation for the dog to pounce on him.

I am not in this room.  I was distracted and can be found in the kitchen, at the dining table, sewing a skirt I found online.  I have no need for a skirt.  I simply can't help myself.  I'm easily distracted and always find new and exciting things to try .... oooooh shiny!
